Apple Crisp with Cheese

 

 

Ingredients:

4 Cups Sliced Apples (I use Golden Delicious, about 5 of them)
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 Cup Water
3/4 Cup Sugar
2/3 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Butter
1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese (or use 4 oz Velveeta, cut up)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place apples in an 8" square baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with cinnamon and pour water into dish. (I pour it between the apples, so it doesn't "wash off" the cinnamon.) In a medium bowl, combine flour and sugar. Using two knives, or a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture resembles course crumbs. Stir in cheese. Sprinkle evenly over apples and bake for 50-60 minutes, until apples are tender.
