Layered Cabbage Rolls

 

 

Ingredients:

1 Medium Head Cabbage
1-1/2 lb Ground Beef, browned and drained
1/2 lb Ground Pork Sausage, browned and drained
2 Tablespoons Minced Dried Onion (or use 1/2 of a fresh onion, diced and sauteed)
1 Teaspoon Chili Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/8 Teaspoon Pepper
2/3 Cup Uncooked Long Grain Rice
2 - 15 ounce cans Tomato Sauce
1 Cup Water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut cabbage up coarsely and place in an oiled 13 x 9 baking dish. in a medium bowl, combine meat, onion, seasonings and rice. Spread evenly over cabbage. In same bowl, combine tomato sauce and water. Pour over meat mixture. Cover pan with foil and bake for 1-1/2 hours.
