Honey Bun Cake

 

 

Cake Ingredients:

1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
4 Eggs, beaten
3/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
1 Cup Buttermilk
    (Substitute for Buttermilk: Place one tablespoon vinegar into a measuring cup. Add enough milk to equal 1 cup. Stir and let sit for 5 minutes)
1 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
1/2 Cup Quick Cooking Oats

Glaze Ingredients:

1 Cup Powdered Sugar
2 Tablespoons Milk
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil and buttermilk. Mix well. Pour half of the batter into a greased 13" x 9" cake pan. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon and oats. Sprinkle over batter. Pour remaining batter over sugar mixture. Using a butter knife, swirl sugar mixture and batter together. Don't mix them completely! Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.


To Make the Glaze:

Mix all glaze ingredients well. Pour over warm cake.
